I'm so excited :-) I think the Yoshi Eggs would be something the kids could do easily enough, and they do have more fun when they help put it together I think. Seriously, we don't even have to paint green spots -- just modge podge some green crepe paper spots onto the egg and we're set. The mushroom cupcakes were AWESOME when made those, and the kids get to help with that as well.

But question mark box pinatas would be easy too. I'd just use the same trick I did for our spongebob piñata, just with squarer bags.

And I -could- do boxes boxes with origami (my kids SO love origami) for the invitations, if they'd actually fit in the kids backpacks. Maybe I'll have them do those for the friends they won't see at school.

I like the idea of making the invitations out of question blocks instead! I was thinking they would be good piñatas, but the Yoshi Egg seems like it would be more fun to try and make. Plus if you get in a pinch for time, you could just print the question blocks off pretty easily.
